  1. at the risk of sounding dumb :loser: (when has that ever truly stopped me? :flirt: ) what is Loveswept – I assume Category but what subgenre…

  2. Loveswept was Bantam. Here’s the back cover blurb though it’ll probably scare some folk:
As James Faraday rode past on his polo pony 😆 Anne Kitteridge sighed. The man was impossibly handsome, with Robert Redford’s jaw, Cary Grant’s smile and a delectably muscled body that would make any woman melt! She’d known him all her life, had once made a fool of herself over him, and now she insisted she was immune to his charms…until he offered her a proposition she couldn’t refuse. But agreeing to keep Battle Cry, James’s extraordinary horse (me wonders what the horse resembled :flirt: ) at her breeding farm meant she’d have to work in disturbingly intimate conditions with the one man who drew her into an emotional whirlwind, made her year to be possessed (remember this was pre BDSM days ya’ll :memememe: ) to choose ecstasy in his arms. For years Anne had been Jame’s obsession, this eleant, spirited woman who challenged a man to break through the steel and embrace the rose underheat–but he believed she’d settle for no less than perfection.
Would revealing his private struggle mean losing the only prize he’d ever wanted? :dead:

  3. I recently read my first Suzanne Brockmann. It was part of the ‘Prince Joe’ series and I must say I really enjoyed it. I love Lisa Kleypas and Devil’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens contains a hero that I’ve never been able to forget. I have Judith Ivory in my TBR pile, along with Linda Howard. So far I haven’t read either author. I have read the first JD Robb book. Fantastic stuff. That said, I’ve never read a Nora Roberts romance…or Jayne Ann Krentz, Mary Balogh, SEP, Susan Wiggs, Mary Jo Putney, Julia Quinn, Adele Ashworth, Connie Brockway, Julie Garwood or Georgette Heyer.

  4. Jordan I’m a total dork but I love Amy’s blog post over at writeminded today on what makes readers pick up a book.

I keep meaning to try Lisa K –she’s probably one of the nicest writers I’ve ever met (of course they’re all nice but still…) but I can’t seem to really truly find my way back to historicals for some reason :doh Linda Howard has been hit or miss for me the last few years. Julie Garwood was the first historical author to make me laugh–or maybe she just reminded me of some of the regencies i used to reaD? Dunno……

  5. Okay, here’s a stupid question. Why do you have 8 copies of Loveswept # 367 UNFORGETTABLE by Linda Cajio? 😆

BTW, I read Judith McNaught’s “Whitney, My Love,” the sequel “Once and Always,” and the prequel “Kingdom of Dreams.” I was mostly into Johanna Lindsey, Nancy Gideon, Linda Lael Miller, and a few others I can’t remember from the top of my head back in the 90s.

  7. OMG, what a LONG list!!:yell:

Ok, so all I have to do is say I want a copy?:wth: Can I get one even if I don’t live inside the US? (Bad, bad question…):fly: Also, are you giving away those 100 books?

  8. Ok, I’m a little slow sometimes…

Am I right in assuming you’re just giving away the Unforgettable, and ALL the rest are in your TBR pile?? :yell:

Gawd–how do you find your way out of the house??! :poof:

  9. Dennie – Jill used to write for Loveswept, as did Donna Kauffman.

You really oughta pick up Getting Rid of Bradley by Crusie – it’s the best. I don’t like a lot of her more recent books – don’t know why. Bet Me was good too.

Isn’t this the “100 Best Romances” list?

  10. SW…of course you can get a copy. THe list of books is like the 100 best I swiped from somewhere else.

Raine no they aren’t all in my TBR pile. That would be a whole nother blog post.

Dennie I’ll bring you one next weekend
