Wow so……

Michael Johns went home. Who here thinks we haven’t seen the last of him? Who here was surprised?

I had a blog topic but I forgot it so instead I’ll point you to Jackie’s sale story! It’s quite a wild ride and I’m honored I got to witness it first-hand!

  1. Yeah, the whole Michael Johns thing… pretty unexpected. But I think part of the reason he went home was because he’s been so flipping arrogant lately, talking back to the judges, telling them he did pick the right song when in fact it was the wrong song. People aren’t too fond of arrogance. BUT, I don’t think we’ve heard the last of him. No way. He’ll be back.

  2. Ohhhhhh. You’re talking about American Idol, right? I gave up watching it after Rubin Studdard, I think.

And speaking of first-sale stories, where’s yours? I’d LOVE to read it.

  3. ‘K, Amie, I see what you’re talking about re the ‘attitude’, although I totally missed the times he talked back to the judges. πŸ˜›

But, yeah, I’m still stunned he got voted off. =:-O

  4. I’m not surprised at all since I predict the outcome solely from popularity rather than talent. I love Michael Johns but each week, he was in competition with David cook and while DC has been giving pretty consistent performances to his core audience, MJ has been jumping back and forth, trying to sing different styles (which is great but, he was hit and miss).

You just wait…now those people who enjoy MJ will be split between DC and the other “rocker” in the group, Carly….

πŸ™‚ Yes, yes, I wish I would use my time to write too.

  5. Genn good points all and I hate to say this but I think Carly is going the way of Michael Johns–she better pull it back together QUICK!

  6. ::headdesk:: silly me, I totally forgot that this is a popularity contest, and not necessarily a talent one. Which might also explain Kristie Lee. Online buzz sez Vote for the Worst (the peeps behind Sanjaya’s ascention last year) are backing her. I haven’t bother to check it out.

I will agreee that MJ has not been picking the right songs. Simon gave some one a piece of advice earlier, the songs were all about the audience, not about the performer, I think MJ was too busy indulging in showing folks what they’d get if they bought his cd or came to his concert (in other word *his favourites*) and didn’t pander to the audience ever.
