The Dating Game

Post navigation

Happy Monday Morning!!!!!!!!! Yes, Karin I will write today. I promise. But I also have some other blog duties to tend to. Speaking of which, I’m over at Southern Fried Chicas today talking about dating. And I”ll be over at Naughty and Spice tomorrow….also talking about dating.

We had our RWA meeting this weekend too, and afterward (after the nose) I ran home, packed up the kids and hit Candace Havens’ book signing. She and Rosemary Clement Moore we kind enough to both pick up my books. I have the hardest time figuring out what to write so here’s my question of the day…..what do you writers usually write when you sign books?

  1. I’ve actually never signed a book before cos I’m epub’d but…if I were to sign a book it would say “Thank GAWD you bought my book. Hugs, Karen.” :mybad:

I’m a liar. I have no idea what I would say. I’m goofy this morning, I need caffeine. :memememe:

  2. My goodness! I disappear for a minute and your whole site has changed. Love the new look, Ames.

Dating, huh? I’m going to have to go check out your posts cuz I could definitely stand to learn a thing or two. My dating experiences seem to be funny these days – though not in a good way. 🙂

  3. It varies. It depends on if I know the person. If I do, I try to write something FOR THEM. If I don’t, I try to write something somewhat original. Then there are times my brain doesn’t work and I fall back on things like “Enjoy!”.

  4. Hey Amie. Your book is so good! I like the characters and it’s hot, but not just wham bam thank you ma’am. HANDS ON is awesome.

  5. If I know the person, I make it personal, if I don’t? I usually write To: (their name), (then) Enjoy and Best Wishes. my name and a smiley face. I really try to personalize when I can. I’ll also ask if there is something they’d like me to write. I’ve had a few brow raisers.

Now for you Amie, I would probably write something like: How many pages did you write today?

  6. Heh. When Michelle Willingham brought me a copy of my Secrets volume and wanted me to sign it, I had no idea what to say. She joked about what people put in yearbooks…so I wrote, “Stay sweet, Michelle! BFF!!!” 😎

Normally, I just write something like, “Enjoy!” Unless I know them. And then it varies.

    Which is helpful, I know…
