Day 10 of Love…with Sasha White!!!

Post navigation

300px-dollhouse_cast.jpg Please see my last post for our last two winners!!  The one thing I love as much as books…and dog and the cats and yes, even the children. Okay I love the children more than boos but some days it’s questionable. Anyway…..it’s TV! Yes, i just love TV–WAYYYYYYYYYY too much. And the weirder the better as far as I’m concerned. I finally gave up on Eleventh Hour but I’m still loving Fringe, and of course Lost is back. Heroes is ROCKIN THE HAUS! Terminator comes back on Friday–which frankly I think sucks because Friday is kind of one of those Doomed to Fail nights. But….BUT Dollhouse premiers this Friday night right after Terminator…and of course there’s my Battlestar Gallactica on Sci-Fi. I have much love for Friday nights!!!! Of course…..American Idol is on and Biggest Loser. Much as it shames me, I’ve grown to love some reality TV *hangs head*.

So what about you? What are you watching and squeeing over? Don’t leave me hanging out here all alone! What TV shows do you love?

Today’s giveaway is an e-book from my good friend Sasha White. Just like Vanessa Jaye and Raine, we met on the eHarlequin boards many moons ago. The Struggling Writer’s thread? Those were the good old days 😀 Since then, for those of you who don’t know, Sasha’s gone on to write some killer erotica for Aphroidsia and Berkley’s Heat line.

  1. I love Heroes and Galactica is a MUST! I am looking forward to Dollhouse. I used to love Eureka. It seems some good shows died just because of the writers strike.

  2. Madd! Yesterday I found some LOLGallactica stuff on Livejournal. IT was heaven!

    *dork*

yes I am. i can’t help myself! And last night’s Heroes….well my jaw is STILL dragging the ground.

  3. I love True Blood, it is awesome and I cant wait for it to come back on. I also watch Grey’s Anatomy and Gossip Girl (can’t believe I admit that LOL). I did watch Ugly Betty for awhile but it got old for some reason. I never really got into reality tv …give me FICTION LOL. I liked Paranormal State when it first came out…but it is just getting old too…gosh i am fickle. LOL

  4. OH!! I am so excited for Dollhouse! I hope we get a channel it is on!!! I miss Mr. Whedon. OH LOOK, it’s on Fox! YES! lol
What else am I watching? Supernatural, House, CSI (all of them), NCIS (LOVE IT!)
This looks like a great collection, and I have had it on my wishlist for a while now!
    Thanks!

  5. Oy I apologize for winning & then not coming by, but that’s a whole other story… Congrats to Jane & Cheryl K!

What I’m watching: Chuck, NCIS, Fringe & 11th Hour still (but I really liked the Brit version w/ Patrick Stewart better.) I’m about ready to give up on Ghost Whisperer.

I agree w/ Madd – loved Eureka! Too bad it went away…

  6. Intervention ~ other than football….it’s the only thing I watch on TV. The druggy side of life inthralls me. I think I want to live it…….

  7. OH and I am hearing something about Moonlight?
All these shows that I need to watch, so little time!
    I *sigh* hate TV lol

  8. Stacy I’m ashamed to admit that I watch GG too…and 90210 *hangs head* I should give back my grown up card!

LOVE True Blood too. I know I’m goign to get slapped but I think it’s SO much better than Moonlight or whatever that got cancelled last year.

  9. Natasha…Leverage only has a few eps left but if you can stand to watch it online it’s WELL worth it–very funny sh*t!!! If you liked Ocean’s 11 and 12 you’ll love it.

  10. Cool, I have have to give it a shot! We have our laptop hooked up to the tv, so it will be on the big screen 😀 lol

  11. LOL Yeah, it rocks! Except for the price! BUT now that we have a blu-ray, and an entire season can go on one disk, I hope the price will go down!

  12. Blu-Ray is awesome–the picture *shakes head*

I’ve checked it out at Best Buy but I”m just not ready to make the investment.

Now, I have to figure out how to hook my computer to my tv LOL

  13. See, we bought a tv for xmas and got a blu-ray for $100. We watch all of our dvd’s on it (it redoes the dvd to blu-ray quality – apparently). We won’t buy blu-rays yet though as the price is INSANE!
If you have a new(er – ie high definition) tv, you use a VGA cable. You just have to have the plugs on the tv.

  14. OH and hubby says you can do it with older tv’s but you need to buy more equipment stuff to do it.

  15. buy your kids a PS3…they will love you and you will have a blu-ray player LOL I love the quality of the picture on blu-ray/HDTV…especially action movies like 300. Then I go in my bedroom where the crappy tv is and go WTF?

  16. OH, and hubs says you need a sound cable. (Audio input cable?). Both ends look like a headphone jack.
    http://tinyurl.com/audioinput
DON’T go to the tv/surround sound area, they will try to charge you like $30.00 for it! We found it with the headphones.

  17. oh now see Stacy…I have the awesome TV in MY ROOM! HEllo I’m the mom! 😀

PS3 are you kidding me? We already have a PS2, a WIi and an Xbox 360! Can you say spoiled?

  18. I love House and CSI Miami. Beyond that I don’t watch a lot of TV. We tend to watch more DVD than anything else. 🙂

  20. I love “The Mentalist,” “NCIS,” “Mad Men,” “Lost” and “Burn Notice.” I can’t stop watching “Rock of Love.”

  21. I can never catch TV shows in their current season, so I end up watching them on DVD… I actually prefer it this way, but it means I never know what anyone is talking about when they’re discussing their fav shows. LOL! Plus I always seem to be the last to know when a show I like is canceled.

Anyway… Shows I LOVE: Nip/Tuck, House, CSI (all but Miami), Monk, Weeds, Mad Men, Criminal Minds… Plus Family Guy and The Simpsons, of course. 😉

  22. I can’t wait for Dollhouse! I have to work Friday night, but I’m really hoping to find it later on the internet. *grin*

  23. Bones, Fringe, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Numbers are a few holding my attention. I confess to not having even a hint of curiosity about the reality shows. That’s a heck of an eye catching cover for ‘Erotique’. 🙂

  24. I admit it – I faithfully watch Desperate Housewives, and to get a good laugh Two and A Half Men, love the kid on that show.

  25. Very nice cover!!! I am totally into Supernatural and CSI Las Vegas 🙂 But that is the TV I can handle, have to have time for my books 🙂

  26. I used to watch CSI the Vegas one but with Grissom leaving I don’t know if I will watch now

  27. I won’t slap you for saying that True Blood is better than Moonlight if you won’t slap me for saying that Moonlight is better than True Blood, okay?

I’m a TV whore. Let’s see, Sunday – Extreme Makeover, Cold Case (but I think they’re going to move that one);Monday – House; Tuesday – Idol, NCIS; Wednesday – Ghosthunters (I’m going to miss that show when I drop cable), Criminal Minds, Idol; Thursday – CSI (I think it will be just fine with Laurence Fishburne – I *heart* him), Bones, 11th Hour (and I’m beginning to get tired of that one); Friday – Ghostwhisperer (still not sure since they *killed* the husband), Numbers; Saturday – there’s TV on Saturday? And any time I can catch Animal Precinct or Supernanny, or It’s Me or the Dog, or ….. Oh yeah – and the judge shows – like Judy, Joe Brown, People’s Court …..

  28. Ahh, well, I LOVED Moonlight and hated the True Blood pilot that I saw, but let’s overlook that for the shows we have in common…. 😉

I am loving Fringe this season. It’s that perfect mix of spooky sci-fi and serial mythology, and Walter provides SUCH great humor. I really enjoy it. And I’m pretty excited about Dollhouse this week.

I’m a LOST fan from way back, so as fellow romance lovers, I have to ask – do you have a preference in the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle? I hate even typing that because this show has almost lost me (ha, no pun intended) due to the triangle from hell, but I have spent many hours obsessing over Jack/Kate. Like I said, they’re not as magical to me as they were, say, 1st season, but I still think they’re a pretty incredible love story.

I also enjoy Chuck, Friday Night Lights, and loved Pushing Daisies until it was so unfairly canceled this season. I watch a few others, but these are my favorites and the ones that I think are really brilliant.

  29. Dang, Sasha knows be all too well. I’m really into her Kink stuff. My favorite genre is the D/s so bring it on baby!

  30. >>if you won’t slap me for saying that Moonlight is better than True Blood, okay?

    Deal Bailey!

Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle…u know I kinda have to side w/Sawyer only because the close romantic in me feels that Kate might be the one to redeem the bad boy! Yes, I have a soft spot for lost souls and Sawyer qualifies!

Debby….thanks! the sick kid thing is getting old. I’m just praying I don’t get it!

  31. Beth…I had reservations about watching after Grissom left too but I really do like Lawrence Fishburn!! (though they’ve only shown one new episode 🙁 )

  32. some of those shows are not familiar to me – maybe they haven’t made it to Australia yet or the Australian free to air stations don’t seem to have much patience – Moonlight got started and then yanked from the schedule, same for Army Wifes – that was about 3 episodes.

I watch Dexter, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law and Order and SVU – i would love to be watching Heroes but it has disappeared from the schedule too and i can’t seem to win the DVD’s on ebay

Sleeper Cell series one was interesting.
